Testing innovative strategies to reduce the social gradient in the uptake of bowel cancer screening: a programme of four qualitatively enhanced randomised controlled trials.

This research programme found that an 'Enhanced Reminder' reduced the socioeconomic gradient in uptake of NHS bowel cancer screening and, in common with 'GP endorsement', increased uptake overall.
