The authors use Parry Romberg Syndrome as a model to demonstrate efficacy of serial fat grafting.1 The hallmarks Romberg Syndrome include subcutaneous adipose attrition likely secondary to underlying vascular compromise.2 Three-dimensional scanning photography is used to measure the retention of volume. The surface scans obtained prior to any fat grafting were compared to the scans obtained three months after each round of fat grafting. The authors deemed the volume of surface change per volume of adipose injected as the survival rate.
