In Reply In our cost-effectiveness analysis, we used the Independent UK Panel on Breast Cancer Screening estimate of 20% relative reduction in breast cancer mortality. This estimate is based on a meta-analysis of 11 randomized controlled trials of breast cancer screening that compared women invited to screening with control participants not invited. We accept that some uncertainties surround this estimate and used probabilistic sensitivity analysis to account for these uncertainties.
