Abstract
We would like to thank Lee and colleagues for their comments on our systematic review1. As they have pointed out, their psychometric validation paper for the FACE‐Q Skin Cancer Module was published after the date of this review article's inclusion period and as such was not included. We are very aware of this well conducted psychometric paper2 and have read it with interest. Unfortunately this highlights one of the issues with the systematic review process; namely that it is only a snapshot in time and can quickly become outdated if the literature moves on. Furthermore, the time from completion to publication of a systematic review can have a significant impact on changes in the research landscape.
