Abstract
The Stratum Corneum. Layers of dead cells, reaching their final resting place before being lost forever through the desquamatory process. This is how we have been taught to view our outermost layer of skin. But should we really be thinking of it in this way? Thinking of it purely as dead layer is like considering the surface of the Earth as just rocks, mud and water.
